We want to make sure you all know that the 831 Water Street development application is once again on the agenda of the Santa Cruz City Council. It is Item 18 on the agenda the Council will follow for its meeting on Tuesday, November 23.
Specifically, the Council is scheduled to consider whether to rescind its October 12 denial of the 831 Water Street Development Project application, giving Staff time to review additional materials submitted by the applicant “to determine if the project can be brought into substantial compliance with the City’s objective zoning, subdivision, and design standards.”
In addition, the Council is expected to consider on Tuesday whether to hold a follow-up public oversight hearing re. the project proposal, at its December 14 meeting.
Our 831 Responsible Development citizens group has written to the Council about Tuesday’s agenda item. See our group’s letter here.
If your schedule will permit it, we are encouraging you to Zoom into the Council meeting to reinforce our ongoing interest in this development proposal. Whether or not you choose to speak if comments are invited, just being there can be helpful.
As always, please know how very, very grateful we are for your continued support!
